Rare Photos of ADM Soldiers as a Group

  From Arnold Dutcher in 2006:
Atomic Demolition Munitions (ADM) Platoon,
23rd Engineer Bn, 3AD

Dutcher writes: "These photos show a group from the ADM Platoon in 1971 at a 23rd Engr Bn barrel-raising competition at the Bn's annual founding-day celebration in Hanau. With all due modesty, that's me in the top photo, third from left, toasting my mug in celebration of ADM's victory. Of course, the Mushroom Cloud T-shirt was the Platoon's uniform of the day. The object was to suspend a water-filled, 55 gal. barrel (460 lbs.) at a certain height above the ground in the shortest time against five other engineer teams competing simultaneously. The soldier at front and center (top photo) is one of our staff sergeants, who seems to be reacting to beer being thrown on his backside."
