Left to Right, standing: Rita Eick, Virginia Reeb, Claude Wood, Dave Putnam, Walter Stitt, Jo Ann Frank, Betty Stitt, John Barclay, Aurio Pierro, Leon Long, Laurence Rourke, Allen Knisley, Phyllis Knisley, and Almyra Rourke.

Left to Right, kneeling: Monique Thonon, Bill Ruth, Russ Eick, and Yvan Beauvois.

Special Note: Monique and Yvan (above) were two children living in Parfondruy when German SS troops came into the village on December 19, 1944, and massacred 24 Belgian civilians. Monique and Yvan survived, although were badly wounded. A 3rd Armored unit led by a Lt. Edmark arrived on the next day and secured the town. Monique, then only age 2, was given first aid by two men from the 391st Field Artillery. The house behind the group (above) is where the massacre took place, which was early in the Battle of the Bulge.
