INTRODUCTION
|
In June, 1941, Harry Boersman
of Grandville, Michigan, joined the Army and was with the 3rd
Armored Division all the way from Ft. Polk to the war's end,
including the occupation of Germany. Along the way, 1st Sgt.
Boersen started collecting photos taken by his 45th Med Bn comrades
whose names are not now known. He wasn't a photographer, and
never had his own camera during the war, but he knew special
photos when he saw them. Now, sixties year later, the best of
his very fine full collection are here to be shared. |
