PHOTOS BELOW: Shortly after the war ended in
May, 1945, members of C Battery of the 486th AAA Battalion stopped
by a small photo studio in Wickshausen, Germany, for some fancy
portraits. Unfortunately for Russ and for Marcus Palombi, they
were stuck on guard duty and missed out. But the three other
members of their squad were available. That's Stanley Zyza at
left, Donald Dean at right, and Stephen Spirounias below. |
