This dramatic and curious artwork,
which has long since disappeared along with the Service Club
building, was in color and measured approximently 15x30 feet.
It depicts certain historical elements of life in Louisiana,
including the arrival of a 3AD tanker with a Thompson machine
gun. We have no information on the artist, Alfred Fatica, who
was reportedly a 3rd Armored enlisted man at the time of the
painting. |
