Above are two of the approximately 50 Germans
soldiers who ran into a roadblock set up by the 83rd Reconnaissance
Bn and operating under Task Force Lovelady between Frameries
and Jemappes. This was the day before the Battle of Mons. So
completely surprised were Germans that they surrendered without
shots being fired. |
