Tec. 5 Clifford Evans, 83rd Recon Bn, holds an
unfired German high-velocity 88mm shell next to its knocked out
gun in the area of Stolberg, Germany, sometime during Sept. -
Dec., 1944. He would eventually mail this photo back to his family
in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with the comment, "Kind of big.
